Overview
Pellings were appointed by Hayes School to provide Employers Agent and CDM Co-ordinator services for the provision of a new classroom block to meet the school requirement for additional teaching space and to free up space in parts of the existing school building for other uses.
The new building includes a speech and language unit and library as a well as numerous teaching rooms.
A key project driver was to deliver the project in a very tight timescale ready for the new academic year. In response the project adopted a hybrid offsite fast track solution to deliver the building within 30 weeks.
The building design complimented the adjacent block constructed previously by Pellings to create a further striking and contemporary extension to the school campus whilst also refocusing the whole school site making the original Victorian building the heart of the school once again.
