Overview
Pellings provide the University of Hertfordshire with a range of Building Surveying and Project Management services to support their Estate Management and Capital Works Programmes.
By maximising the potential in its existing property assets, the University is able to improve the learning and work experience of students, staff and other users of the facilities.
A range of asset management and improvement projects have been undertaken by Pellings for the University, including the following:
Refurbishment of toilets in the C P Snow Building, College Lane campus. Pellings programmed the phasing of works in order that they could be carried out during term time with the minimum disruption to staff and students.
Fire Protection improvements to "The Street" De Havilland campus. This included provision of new automated rotating doors and associated alterations to fire beam installation and fire detection/alarm system.
Installation of mezzanine floor within the VRS Laboratory workshop on College Lane campus. This project provided additional teaching space and included alterations/ extension of existing lighting and small power installations. A new lift was also installed which provides improved access to people with a disability.
