In September 2009, Bromley College of Higher and Further Education has opened its refurbished and enlarged Hair & Beauty Suite, providing greatly enhanced facilities to teach a range of courses.
The project was designed and project managed by Pellings LLP. A fast track approach was taken, with the project being completed in 8 weeks.
The project forms part of a major redevelopment programme for the College which is being undertaken over two phases. Pellings have been involved since the commencement of the project.
Core to the design brief was the desire by the College to provide students with an inspirational environment that looked and felt like a "West End" Salon, which would attract students and members of the local community to have therapies and treatments.
As part of the project Pellings designed a new "brand identity" for the suite along with a bespoke new reception area, treatment and teaching rooms. A new spa and nail salon also formed part of the 'enhance' Beauty facility.
"By creating a high quality salon within the College we are now able to give students a much richer learning experience that reflects their work aspirations, as well as attracting more student clients and others from the local community, all of whose expectations are hugely exceeded by our new facility."
Heather Cross, Vice Principal at the College.
